What is in it for you?

Here we are, living our lives as best we can trying to carve out a niche for ourselves at work, in our circle of friends/family and within the community.  Can we see the connections to each other; that the most important things in life are the relationships we have with one another and that we really all want the same in life?  It is really easy for us to disconnect, close our eyes, tune everyone out, dismiss people and events as invalid, and try to separate ourselves from the harsh reality.

The bottom line at the end of the day or the end of our life is not how much money we have made, nor how big the house we live in nor the car we drive; rather, it is about the love, compassion, care and empathy we gave along the way.
