Unintended consequences of our anger, hate and violence.

Some day some one is going to shoot and kill me because;
Because they did not like my haircut or the shoes I wear,
Because they did not like the color of my skin or hair,
Because they did not like my family or country of origin nor my ancestors,
Because I did not have the right socioeconomic status,
Because I do not practice their religion at their place of worship,
Because I am not one of them, rather deemed one of “those other people”,
Because I am a woman,
Because I am not from their “hood”,
Because they decided who has the right to live or die,
Because I don’t believe their beliefs and they don’t believe mine.

What we hope, wish and intend for another are the hopes, wishes and intentions we hold for ourselves and the people we care about and love.   We do not have control of unintended consequences.  We do have control over our own actions and how we treat ourselves and each other.
