What do you stand for?

Is this the life we want to live? So much crisis and hatefulness spreading like a cancer. The blatant disregard for one another and for our own selves, as we live our lives in the fast lane. The ridiculous hypocrisy that is “sold” to us, that we are not measuring up and if we just buy a car, house college degree, star on a “reality” T.V. show, we will be a “success”.
The role models of today are not the role models I grew up with. I was recently watching an interview with a student, who was taking a free online course on negotiation. She was meeting up with fellow classmates in a local bar and remarked how she couldn’t wait to rip into someone to prove them wrong, now that she has learned these new found skills.
Our own actions have to be in alignment with what we value, believe and stand for. If I were an alien visiting this planet, my first impression is I would need to run for my life because these humans are consuming and killing each other and themselves, even destroying the very planet
they live on. We have to change ourselves and the way we choose to live our lives.
So, ask yourself, what do you stand for?
